The boiler normally would last about 8 years. 2 months after the Puroxi Descaler was installed before the boiler the scale started to loosen up and fell to the bottom of the boiler. In 6 months, the heating pipes were all clean and it left about 4” of debris on the bottom and then we removed the debris. After this was cleaned out, we had to turn the heat down from 170 F to 150F as the pressure relief was going off. Before the Puroxi Descaler was installed we had issues with bacteria in the milk at 150F and so the boiler was turned up to 170F. Now with the Puroxi Descaler installed and the temp set back at 150F the bacteria count has not gone back up. The cleaning chemicals seem to work better. We are working on upgrading our main water treatment system in our pumphouse and plan to install an Puroxi Descaler there too.

So much so that all of the water shut off valves in the house (hot water tank, below the kitchen & bathroom faucets, etc), including our main water shut off to the house were scaled so bad they were seized. Got the Puroxi unit to see if we could try to descale enough to get valves working without breaking them (couldn’t even shut off the main supply valve to replace anything). Well after more than a year with the de-scaler installed to try to descale at the main shut off valve into the house, the inevitable happened, we had a leak on the hot water tank piping and now absolutely needed to close valves or we were screwed. With some medium persuasion, the tank valve turned and after 4-5 minutes of working it, it not only closed but sealed! I couldn’t be happier with the results of the de-scaler and the fixtures are showers aren’t scaled so the side effect is also not needing a water softener. Worked beautifully and doesn’t need salt.

Gets rid of Chlorine in the water which actually helps soften the water as it puts oxygen in the water. You can tell immediately. Your skin is not as itchy and your hair is softer. It actually oxidizes better then Chlorine does and its actually healthy for you.
