Puroxi Alberta delivers advanced water treatment for farms, homes, and greenhouses turning water into a powerful tool for health and productivity.
What We Are
We’re a proud Canadian team dedicated to improving water quality through safe, science-based, and customized solutions. With years of field experience, our certified water technicians analyze each water profile and design effective, eco-friendly, and cost-efficient treatment plans.
What We Do
We offer advanced, personalized water treatment that goes beyond filtration — improving hydration, system cleanliness, and overall health.
Our Story
The roots of Puroxi Alberta Inc. go back to a family farm in Belize, where our days revolved around cattle, crops, and a whole lot of poultry. We raised cow–calf herds, a handful of dairy cows, corn, beans, and broiler breeder layers — but the poultry barns were where most of the real work happened.
Even as a kid, one pattern stood out: my dad could raise beautiful pullet flocks, but once they entered production, they often collapsed in both health and output. It happened repeatedly, and nobody could explain it. Our water source was a river — and everyone assumed river water was “good water.” Livestock preferred it over pond and dugout water, so we thought the problem had to be something else.
Years later, after a decade managing my uncle’s hardware store and then launching a small family business, we built our own poultry operation. By 2011 we had layers; in 2012 we added broilers. New barns came with big payments, and “average performance” wasn’t going to cut it.
Up close, the truth was hard to ignore: death loss, growth rates, and feed efficiency determine whether a barn survives or sinks.
One of my brothers — who had far more experience in poultry — kept pushing the same point: “It’s the water.”
Water disinfection, pH stability, mineral load, biofilm — all the invisible factors no one sees but every flock feels.
He connected with Puroxi Pure Water Global Inc. in British Columbia. They specialized in livestock water treatment using Oxy Blast (a hydrogen-peroxide-based product) and pH control acids. I paid attention, reluctantly at first. But when we finally treated our own water, the results showed up almost immediately.
At first, I chalked it up to coincidence.
Then the improvements kept coming. Suddenly, the problems my dad faced made perfect sense — we had been on the same untreated, inconsistent water source for decades.
Within months, neighbouring producers began asking for help, and we became a trained Puroxi distributor under Zak Motala. Before long, we were fixing water for hog barns, dairy herds, poultry farms, greenhouses, and even residential systems.
In 2015, our family relocated to Alberta and expanded the model across the province. Today, Puroxi Alberta Inc. supports producers in every major agricultural sector, helping them stabilize performance by addressing the most overlooked input in livestock production: clean, consistent, properly conditioned water.
One of our earliest customers, Kenny, summed it up better than any sales pitch ever could:
“If all I wanted was to disinfect my water, I could call anyone. But if I’m serious about the health and performance of my hogs, there’s nobody doing what Puroxi does.”
That has held true on every farm we’ve worked with — including our own.
How We Treat Water
The first stage in our treatment process is oxidation, which prepares the water for more effective filtration. We use one of two oxidizing agents:
- Ozone – a powerful natural oxidant that breaks down iron, manganese, and other contaminants.
- Oxy Blast – a hydrogen peroxide-based product that reacts with impurities, making them easier to remove during filtration.
Oxidation is a crucial step because it transforms dissolved contaminants into solid particles that can be efficiently captured by filters in the next stage.
02 Filtration
Once the water is oxidized, it passes through backwashable sand filters. These filters physically remove the oxidized particles, such as:
- Iron
- Manganese
- Sulfates
- Sediment
- Organic materials
Our filtration systems are tailored to the specific needs of each water source, ensuring optimal performance and water quality.
In some cases, we install an electromagnetic water conditioner after the filtration stage. This technology is used to help break surface tension and reduce scale buildup in pipes and equipment, especially in areas with hard water. While not always necessary, it’s a helpful addition for certain systems and water conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get your questions answered and find out everything you need to know before taking the next step.
Do you only deal with water?
We specialize in water but we do have veterinarians, nutritionist, plant physiologists, and filter experts in our company that we consultant.
Can you pull iron out of water?
Iron can cause a lot of grief in staining anything the water comes in contact with and it is a good place for bacteria to hide. Oxy Blast or Ozone with filtration can remove and pull iron from water.
What can be done with scale and limestone buildup?
Why should I be concerned about biofilm?
Why is Oxy Blast superior to other products?
How much does it cost?
